It seems that the YES Please Palette can’t stay in stock. Since it launched it has been sold out every time they brought it back! I got mine on the third time they restocked and I was prepared I waited in front my computer until it dropped and as soon as I saw that it was available I immediately ordered!
Since it launched the palette seems to be the most overhyped palette! But the question is – IS IT REALLY WORTH THE HYPE? And why is it so overhyped??
Now to skip right to the point, YES I THINK THAT IT IS REALLY WORTH THE HYPE! Everything you heard about this palette ( Everything good) is true.
Price point: Can not beat it $ 16
Colour Range: can’t get better especially with the trend right now you have everything you need and that for really really cheap!
Colour payoff: Excellent, every shade from the matte ones to the metallic/shimmery shade are really pigmented they apply and blend beautifully.
Now the pan size is a lot smaller than the standard single pan eyeshadow from Colourpop, but let’s be real you are getting 12 shades for ONLY $16 and on top of that the Colourpop eyeshadows are very comparable to High-end eyeshadows where sometimes you pay $16 for only one eyeshadow pan. And on the other side how often do you hit pan on a eyeshadow?
One pan in the palette contains 0,85g / 0.03 oz. And the standard eyeshadow pan from Colourpop contains 1.5g /0.053oz.
And to answer the question if the quality of the eyeshadow in the Yes Please palette is the same to the single eyeshadows from Colourpop, Yes it is. I own many single eyeshadows from Colourpop and I find the quality is the same.
Now, why is it so popular? Well first of all the shade range which is represented in this palette is really popular now. And the other reason is that this Palette is compared with the Natasha Denona Sunset Eyeshadow Palette which retails for $129. Now if you are a makeup junkie you would know that that palette is really hyped and popular makeup gurus swear by the Natasha Denona eyeshadows.
Now I don’t own the Natasha Denona Sunset Eyeshadow Palette and I can’t confirm that but as far I’ve seen pictures comparing those two palettes it seems that there is indeed a similarity between the palettes. I’ll insert a picture of the Natasha Denona Palette and you can judge your self 😉
